My buddy Andy will be coming in from NYC for dinner tonight. He'll be leaving soon on a long road tour of "Shrek," for which he's music director.
Tonight's menu: Cocktails with various munchies, including roasted tomato and tomatillo salsa; potato gnocchi with a tomato-basil sauce; meatballs; green salad; ice cream with homemade fudge sauce & cookies. Iced tea, wine, beer, coffee, tea.
Mmmm.
I was hoping we could eat outside -- the weather's perfect -- but it's only May 1st, and it will be dark by 7:30, which is somewhere around the pasta course!
6DOP will cover a broad range of topics related to food and cooking -- recipes, entertaining and dinner parties, cookbooks, restaurants, and food science. 6DOP will be yummy, satisfying, unapologetically biased and opinionated, and damn tasty.

Dinner for Andy
Dave loves to eat, and cook, and feed his family and friends. Thankfully Dave's family and friends like to eat what he cooks.
Dave has achieved the Great American Dream -- suburban banality. He cooks from his modestly appointed kitchen in the leafy suburbs of Delaware County, Pennsylvania, a stone's throw from Philadelphia.
Stop by for dinner. Or lunch. Or breakfast.
