Snow!! French toast!!

French toast is the official food of snowstorms.  What else is everyone making with all the bread, eggs, and milk they're hoarding??

Go make a batch.  Use good Italian bread for it -- gives it a bit of character.  Or sourdough.  Or challah.  Use cream or half-and-half instead of milk.  Add a bit of sugar to the batter. 

Fry it, but not too much -- you want a bit of that custard that has soaked into the bread to still be there. 

Sprinkle it with cinnamon sugar.  And lots of butter.  And real maple syrup.  Mmmmm.
